Law, Farnbacher Run Fastest Laps Monday in Final Day of 24 At Daytona Grand Am Testing
Darren Law and Dominik Farnbacher waited until the final day to set the fastest laps of the "Roar Before the Rolex 24" Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 at Daytona International Speedway.
Law, driving the No. 58 Brumos Racing Porsche Riley, led the Daytona Prototypes in the Monday's conclusion of the three-day session with a lap of 1:31.733 (125.977 mph). He will co-drive with David Donohue, Buddy Rice and Antonio Garcia in the 47th Rolex 24 At Daytona, which takes the green flag at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24.

Dakar 2009: Stage 3 Update - Despres Gets 'Tyred' Up - Al Attiyah Counter-Attacks
As Marc Coma has now won his second stage on the 2009 edition of the Dakar and takes some serious lead in the overall rankings, Cyril Despres keeps sinking down the rankings after having had to fight tyre problems during the whole special stage of the day. In cars, Nasser Al Attiyah ends up with the best timing of the day and gets dangerously close to Carlos Sainz, still in the lead in the overall rankings.

Christophe Bouchut and Dominik Farnbacher recorded the fastest laps in their respective classes during Sunday's second day of activities of the "Roar Before the Rolex 24" at Daytona International Speedway. The three-day session has 52 cars entered in preparation for the 47th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona Jan. 24-25, the opening race in the 2009 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 season.

On a stage that was mostly quick, which suited Marc Coma in theory, the leader of the general standings in the bike race lost part of his lead, slowed down by a mechanical problem. Frans Verhoeven won his first ever special stage on the Dakar. In the car category, Carlos Sainz carried off a twofold triumph, by winning the stage and also taking the lead in the general standings.

Michael Valiante ran the fastest lap of the day in the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley, leading the opening round of the "Roar Before the Rolex 24" at Daytona International Speedway.
Valiante ran a lap of 1:41.760 (125.943 mph) to lead the first day of the three-day session in preparation for the 47th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona Jan. 24-25, the opening round of the 2009 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16.
