Star Mazda: Andersen Racing Conducts Test at Sebring In Preparation for 2010 Season

One of the many benefits Andersen Racing's karting and Star Mazda drivers enjoy is that their team already has a program in place at the next level of competition. This is very beneficial to young drivers because they can build on relationships they make within the team for continuity, as well as reap the benefits of Andersen Racing's many years of experience developing rising stars in open-wheel racing's ladder system.

Building on this unique structure, the team established a policy that each of its full-season Star Mazda drivers earns a test at the next level, Firestone Indy Lights, at the end of the year.

Huge Success For The Auto GP Testing Days

A real "sold out" event, with 22 drivers arriving in Magione on November 17 and 18 to try the championship’s Lola B05/52: Auto Gp couldn’t hope for a better start. The new racing series which, starting from April, will award a 200.000 euros prize fund in every race weekend is raising more and more interest among drivers, teams and all the motorsport enthusiasts. The great feedback that the organization had on the Italian track from the drivers who tried the car and from the teams interested in taking part in the championship is a proof that Coloni Motorsport is making the right choices. Apart from the great number of entries for the test, the good thing was having drivers with very different experience, something which shows that Auto GP can be the perfect choice for a broad range of racers: on track, among the others, Carlos Iaconelli, already seen in GP2 and F.2, Marcos Martinez Ucha from Ws by Renault, Nicola De Marco from F.2, Stefano Bizzarri and Alessandro Cicognani respectively from European F.3 Open and Italian F.3, joined by Jarek Janis and Khalil Beschir, both with experience on the Lola B05/52 having raced in A1 GP with Team Czech Republic and Team Leboanon. With them, there was also Jan Charouz, already seen in F.3000, A1 GP and last year works driver for Aston Martin in the Lm P1 Le Mans program.

Superleague Formula Q&A: Ian Ayre, Liverpool Commercial Director

"Superleague Formula spreads the awareness of our football club. It races in markets that perhaps we don't go to very often as a football club. It attracts a different type of audience and means motor racing fans who perhaps aren't big football supporters become attracted to Liverpool."

Liverpool FC commercial director Ian Ayre was there in person to witness Adrian Valles clinch the Superleague Formula by Sonangol crown for Liverpool in Jarama. A fortnight on, he discusses how highly the title ranks and the role Superleague is playing in the club’s commercial expansion abroad.

Vincec's 2009 Season Winds Down, A Quiet Year Comes To A Close In Las Vegas

The 2009 racing season is coming to an end with everyone heading to Las Vegas next week for the SKUSA SuperNationals. Mike Vincec, the 2008 Stars of Karting ICC National Champion, is looking forward to finishing off what has been a rather quiet year in karting, with a strong performance for Pserra Racing. Mike will be competing in the highly competitive SuperPro class. After securing the ICC National Championship last year, Mike received a scholarship to compete in the Skip Barber National Championship. He started the season in Sebring last March and continued through some disappointing races but pulled out of the final races as he prepared to once again attend the European Karting Championships and also concentrate on a run at joining Team Canada for the Rotax World Final. The return to Europe came courtesy of a mid-season switch to Pserra Racing and it would be to run under the Birel factory tent.
