It is believed that the energy drink-owned team could be ready to debut the new diffuser in Monaco late next month, while Renault and BMW-Sauber might be ready to race similar solutions imminently. Ferrari is said to be targeting the first European race of the season, the Spanish grand prix on May 10, for the debut of a double-diffuser. The Daily Mail newspaper, meanwhile, said McLaren may be in a similar position to Renault and BMW in readying a rapid development to its current diffuser layout. But Mercedes' Norbert Haug told Bild newspaper: "For Shanghai we have prepared only minor aerodynamic improvements. Only in Barcelona will a larger step take place."
