"My main objective for 2010 is to race with Toro Rosso," the reigning British F3 champion said in an interview with Spain's Diario AS newspaper. Alguersuari currently races in the World Series by Renault, a championship run by his eponymous father. "I am not in a hurry," he insisted, "but I want to be on the World Series podium soon and the next season could be the right moment for F1." Alguersuari dismisses suggestions that he has been put on a fast-track to formula one due to the status and influence of his father. "I am used to those suggestions because it's not possible to satisfy everybody, but the one who has to drive the car is me. "My father has been very important in my life, but it is not possible to deceive Red Bull or anyone else who has supported me," he insisted.

Unsaid here is that Bourdais should have had an advantage over Buemi coming into this season as a second year driver, yet Buemi has been equal to Boudais and then some....
It's the end of the road for Bourdais unless he has some significant backing we aren't aware of.
