V8 Supercar: Perkins Keen To Get Back To The Island
Jack Perkins is keen to get back to the spectacular Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit for the second time this season for the Island 300 in Victoria this weekend.
Perkins is a fan of the fast and flowing Phillip Island layout and is hoping to take advantage of having run there at the L&H 500 in September.
Perkins will have just one practice session to set-up his #11 BET 247 Holden Commodore for this weekend’s qualifying and race action, part of a compact two-day format for the event.

The Island 300 at Phillip Island is being staged as a result of the postponement of the Gulf Air Desert 400 in Bahrain, which will now be the second event of the 2010 series.
WHAT JACK HAD TO SAY …
Jack Perkins - #11 BET 247 Holden Commodore:
“We were there a couple of months ago so it will be good to go back there in the 11 BET 247 Commodore,” said Perkins.
“Good to go back to a circuit where we've got some experience.
“I'm looking forward to having a really good run.
“There will be no time to sit back and relax with the two-day format.
“We've got one practice session before qualifying so you've got to make sure everything is sorted in that practice session.
“Rather than the endurance format in September, there are just two races this weekend and I'm looking forward to giving it a red-hot go.”
