Homestead: David Reutimann NASCAR Nationwide Race Preview

· David Reutimann wraps up the 2009 Nationwide Series (NNS) season behind the wheel of the No. 32 Dollar General Toyota. This weekend will mark his fifth race in the familiar yellow and black Camry. In his four NNS starts with the No. 32 team, he has one top-five and three top-11 finishes. His season-best finish of fifth came in the No. 32 at Richmond Int’l Raceway in September. Reutimann has a cumulative 13 NNS starts in 2009. He has a total of one top-five and six top-10s, finishing outside of the top-20 only once!

· Homestead-Miami Speedway is special to Reutimann, not only because it is in his home state of Florida, but it is also where he claimed his first career Sprint Cup pole position in November, 2008. He also earned pole positions at the 1.5-mile speedway in the Camping World Truck Series in November, 2004 and 2005.

· Although he continues to search for success at Homestead in a Nationwide Series car, Reutimann has had a stellar performance there in the truck series. In addition to his two pole positions, he has never started outside of the top-three in his three starts, making his average start an impressive 1.7! He has one top-five and two top-10 finishes, claiming his best finish of fourth in November, 2004.

· Reutimann to host Fifth Annual Charity Cookout, Auction and Golf Tournament in hometown of Zephyrhills, Florida. The cookout and auction will take place on Friday, November 27, followed by the golf tournament on Saturday, November 28. Proceeds from all activities will be donated to numerous Florida-based charities. For additional information, please visit www.davidreutimann.com.

Reutimann on racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway:

"Homestead is a track that I really like, even though the record books like to tell a different story. I am looking forward to heading there with the Dollar General team this weekend. We’ve had a great year together, never finishing worse than 11th. It will be great to wrap up the 2009 Nationwide Series season in the No. 32 and at home in Florida. I raced at Homestead in an All Pro late model long before I came here with NASCAR. Of course, that was back before the track was reconfigured and it was really flat. I remember being pretty blown away because, at that time, it was the biggest track I had ever raced on."

Crew Chief, Trent Owens, reflects on the 2009 season:

"2009 has been a great year. It’s our best season-to-date in terms of stats. I’ve enjoyed working with all of the drivers that we had in the Dollar General Toyota this year. I think we’ve gotten better with our overall car preparation and our communication is stronger, both as a team and with the drivers. It was a very satisfying season, and I feel like we are ending it on a high note. Hopefully we will be celebrating in victory lane on Saturday. We had a great year with Dollar General on board full time and want to thank them for all of their support. They have been wonderful to work with. I also want to thank all of the guys who give me their best at the shop and at the track. As for next season, I think we have a great foundation set with this team and I am confident that we will visit victory lane in 2010."

Equipment Information

The No. 32 Dollar General team will compete with chassis #037 in this weekend’s Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

#037 was last seen on track at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif. (October, 2009) where the No. 32 Dollar General Toyota started from the fifth position and finished second.
