Pistonheads Pushes Performance

The PistonHeads Performance Car Show is the place to find some of the world's best high-powered sports cars. This year is no exception; among the stunning range on display at the Birmingham NEC on 14-17 January 2010 will be the Tiger Aviator.

This 592kg featherweight packs up to an impressive 260bhp from its 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine, allowing it to get from 0-60mph in under five seconds.

A contemporary take on the classic Lotus 7-style roadster, the Tiger Aviator has been developed by Tiger Sportscars, with designer Simon Keys of First Principle Design - who also worked on the innovative three-seater SDR V-Storm - which will be unveiled at the show.

"The original concept behind the Tiger Aviator was to bring the original Lotus 7 model into the 21st century," said Tiger Sportscars Director, Jim Dudley.

"The PistonHeads Show will be the first mainstream exhibition where we've displayed the car, so we're really looking forward to the public's reaction."

Show Director Ian France said: "We're extremely proud of the number of sports car manufacturers that attend the show, and it's especially pleasing when they bring something new for track day enthusiasts. The Tiger Aviator is yet another example of the progression and refinement of British engineering and design."
