Valvoline To Serve As Primary Sponsor For Kvapil At Loudon

Yates Racing announced today that Valvoline, the leading innovator and supplier of quality, high-performing automotive products, will sponsor the No. 28 entry and driver Travis Kvapil for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 14th. Valvoline is a technical partner of Yates Racing as well as the primary sponsor on the No. 28 Ford for Sunday’s race.

"This weekend is going to be fantastic for our team to showcase the partnership Yates Racing has with Valvoline," commented Kvapil. "Valvoline is our official motor oil at Yates Racing and they have been providing Americans with the best motor oil and automotive products longer than any other motor oil company. We are fortunate enough to use their products, and I am honored to run the No. 28 Valvoline Ford Fusion at New Hampshire this weekend."

The premiere of the No. 28 Valvoline Ford Fusion will take place on September 14th, 2008 for the Sylvania 300 when Kvapil and his Yates Racing teammate, David Gilliland, travel to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the 27th race of the 2008 Sprint Cup Series season and the first race of the Chase. The Sylvania 300 will be broadcast on ABC Sunday, September 14th with television coverage beginning at 1:00 pm EST and radio coverage provided by the Performance Racing Network.

"We’ve been in the Yates Fords and now we’ll be on the No. 28 Fusion in a big way," said Rob Stravitz, vice president for global brands for Valvoline. "We have a history of working with Roush Yates Engines to achieve maximum horsepower and endurance, but this is the first time Valvoline has taken a primary position on a Yates Racing Ford," said Stravitz.

Kvapil has achieved three top-10 finishes and five top-15 finishes this season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series within the first 26 starts of the year and is currently 23rd in the driver point standings.

There will be no shortage of cars Sunday running with Valvoline. In addition to the two Yates Racing Ford Fusions of Kvapil and Gilliland, Valvoline will be in a total of ten other entries for Sunday’s race that also depend on Valvoline. In fact, more NASCAR Sprint Cup crew chiefs use Valvoline in their race cars and in their own cars than any other motor oil. Valvoline has been a partner of seven NASCAR Sprint Cup series Championships as well.
