Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG sealed a perfect weekend after concluding Formula Masters China Series’ Chinese Taipei debut with six podiums; highlighting Martin Rump’s three commanding victories out of three races at Penbay International Circuit. The Hong Kong-based outfit, represented by Rump, Nicholas Rowe and Star Racing Academy’s Jeffrey Ye and Sean Zheng successfully rounded off the Asian championship’s triple-header, with each driver delivering top results throughout the event.

Two Podium Finishes For Maserati In The Euroseries By Nova Race Championship


There were two second places for the Swiss Team Maserati GranTurismo MC, which made its debut in the EuroSeries by Nova Race championship at the season’s third event, held at the Spielberg circuit in Austria. The two second places were achieved by Mauro Calamia, winner of the 2014 Maserati Trofeo World Series 2014, and Claudio Giudice, who took part in the second race of the Maserati single-marque championship season on the same track in May this year.

Cane Wins His First as Team Pelfrey Quartet Shines at Mid-Ohio


Team Pelfrey regained its winning form when the F1600 Formula F Championship Series returned to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for three more close-fought races this Fourth of July weekend. British teenager Jordan Cane broke the team’s victory drought in Race Two on Sunday morning, while Ben Auriemma moved into a tie for second in the point standings following a fine second-place finish later in the afternoon.

Hughes Wins Race 2 At Monza And Is The New Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS Leader, First Ever Win For Romanov In Race 3


Plenty of turnouts and new protagonists in Monza. After having drowned on Saturday the Brazilian JD Motorsport driver Thiago Vivacqua who won Race 1 achieving his first ever win in the Series, Formula Renautl 2.0 ALPS crowned two other young drivers. The Brit Jake Hughes (Koiranen GP) put all behind in Race 2, while the Russian Vasily Romanov (Cram Motorsport) proved the best in Race 3 after having also set pole position on Saturday. For Romanov this also proved to be his first ever win raking the flag ahead of yet another surprise of the weekend, the Ukrainian Danylo Pronenko (BVM Racing). Bad luck though for the previous Championship leader Jack Aitken. The Anglo/Korean driver managed P7 in Race 1 but get caught in an accident in Race 2 at the second chica ne and missed Race 3. He now chases the new leader, his team-mate Hughes, with a 10 point gap.

Keith Grant earned himself a redeeming Atlantic Championship win at the end of race two for the Mid-Ohio weekend and rounds seven and eight of the series. Saturday winner Conner Kearby came up second behind Grant only to be followed by his father Gaston Kearby yet again, in third.

Beasley Sweeps F2000 At Mid-Ohio


Sam Beasley fell back twice, but fought back on both occasions to take a charging F2000 Championship Series win at Mid-Ohio and complete his second straight weekend sweep of the season. Beasley’s victory was at his home race, as he took the lead from Trent Walko with three laps to go. Robert Allaer finished third to round out the podium on Sunday afternoon at Mid-Ohio.

On the Fourth of July at Mid-Ohio, it was Ohio-native Sam Beasley leading flag-to-flag to score his fifth victory of the F2000 Championship Series season. Beasley managed his race pace and kept a charging John LaRue in his mirrors lap after lap to take the win in his No. 4 Legacy Autosport Mygale. Sam Chastain took his first podium in F2000 with a determined drive to round out the podium.

Sam Beasley’s morning practice time of 1:23.808 was the fast mark set over two Friday practice sessions at Mid-Ohio for the F2000 Championship Series weekend. Beasley nipped local Mid-Ohio expert John LaRue by a close .080 seconds on the morning time sheets, while Watkins Glen winner Steve Bamford topped the afternoon charts on a slightly slower track.

Two out of two for Vasily Romanov, that opened the Monza weekend, fifth out of seven Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS season’s venues. The Russian managed to set in both the free practice sessions the fastest lap, sessions deeply affected by the demanding heat. Right behind him yet another Russian with Matevos Isaakyan (JD Motorsport), who managed to be twice second behind the Cram Motorsport driver.

Juncos Racing proved to be the strongest team among the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires field this week during the series official test at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Pro Mazda driver Johnson returns to car at Mid-Ohio test


Three months after sustaining fractures to his hip and pelvis in a practice incident on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla., Michael Johnson returned to the racetrack June 30 for a Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires test at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Johnson, driving for JDC Motorsports, is the first and only paralyzed driver licensed by INDYCAR to compete in Mazda Road to Indy developmental ladder program.

After starting the weekend with great pace in practice, Ryan Tveter advanced six positions in the first race and he also battled hard in the third race as the young American gained valuable experience last weekend in his first visit ever to the Norisring. Unfortunately he was the victim of contact early in the second race of the FIA Formula 3 European Series tripleheader, but luckily he was unhurt.

Russell On The Podium In Germany


George Russell took second place in the final FIA Formula 3 European Championship race of the season on Sunday, delivering on the promising pace the rookie had shown all weekend. The 17 year-old racer started from second on the grid and drove a mature race to get his third podium of the season. Team mate and fellow rookie Callum Ilott was also in the points, coming home in seventh place, while Tatiana Calderon finished 14th in the 32 car field.
