Ghiotto Stars With Fortec In Jerez World Series Test


After closing a chapter last Sunday, Luca Ghiotto was off to a brand new start just a couple of days later at Jerez. On the same track where he faced a difficult weekend in the closing round of the World Series Renault 3.5 season, he rejoined the heat today in order to begin his preparations for 2015. Having said goodbye to Draco Racing, the Italian racer lined-up for the two-day test at the Andalusian venue behind the wheel of a Dallara prepared by Fortec Motorsport. The British squad has been extremely successful in 2014 and starred with both their drivers Oliver Rowland and Sergey Sirotkin.

Draco Racing was the star of the day in the opening two sessions of post-season Formula Renault 3.5 testing at Jerez de la Frontera. Only 48 hours after the end of the 2014 season, Brazilian Pietro Fantin cruised to the lead in an outstanding fashion. For the occasion, he was partnered by fellow countryman Bruno Bonifacio.

Just a couple of days after the end of the 2014 World Series by Renault season, I.S.R. Racing went back on-track at Jerez de la Frontera in the first day of postseason testing. There were no breaks for AVF by Adrián Vallés at Jerez, as the Spanish squad lined-up today, Monday October 20th, for the start of the Eurocup F.Renault 2.0 postseason activity at the Andalusian venue. After a brilliant weekend in the Renault 3.5 finale, the team continued to impress in the feeder category with three quick rookies: Mexican Patricio O'Ward, Brit Harrison Scott, and Italian Alessio Lorandi. All of that despite the fact that none of them had previous experiences on the Formula Renault car.

I.S.R. Racing is proud to announce the names of the two drivers entering the upcoming World Series by Renault postseason test at Jerez de la Frontera. Estoril, Race 2: Shinya Michimi (Euronova) Takes Maiden Auto GP Win Super Nova Secures Teams' Title


The 2014 Auto GP championship provided its last few verdicts today at Estoril. Super Nova managed to secure the Teams' championship as they eventually succeeded in keeping Virtuosi UK at bay in Race 2. At the end of the day, victory went to Shinya Michimi (Euronova Racing). The Japanese racer, at his third appearance of the year, cruised to his first win in front of rookie Luis Sa Silva (Zele Racing). Running under the Angolan banner, Sa Silva had never raced on a powerful and tricky car like the Auto GP one before but ended up in front of his team-mate Antonio Pizzonia.

The final race of the 2014 World Series Renault 3.5 ended up in a positive fashion today at Jerez de la Frontera for the International Draco Racing team. The Italian squad was able to score eight points with Brazilian Pietro Fantin, although the run of Italian Luca Ghiotto had a much more bitter ending.

Race Incident Forces ISR Racing To Retire In Race 2 At Jerez


Lining-up for the final race of the 2014 World Series by Renault season, I.S.R. Racing was once again hit by bad luck at Jerez de la Frontera, and the weekend ended with a DNF for 21-year-old racer Jazeman Jaafar. Triple Podium Weekend Secures Second Place For Blomqvist


Tom Blomqvist had a great weekend in the final round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship, as he secured second place in the standings.

Blomqvist was the stand out driver on Friday, qualifying third for race one, only seven hundredths of a second behind pole sitter and rival for second place in the championship Max Verstappen. After qualifying, he put coming third down to making a mistake on his best lap, but did feel his pace was good going into qualifying for race two and three.

Zeta Corse Hurt By Bad Luck Again In Race 1 At Jerez


After the struggles suffered yesterday in practice, Zeta Corse rebounded well today in qualifying for race 1 of the 2014 World Series Renault 3.5 finale at Jerez. The team's two Zytek-powered Dallaras were back to their usual pace following to the hard work done to fix the situation. Despite showing speed, both Spaniard Roberto Merhi and Russian Roman Mavlanov were hit by heavy traffic and by the lack of opportunities for passing. They respectively took a 10th and a 20th place on the grid.
