Chastain Enjoys One of Best Efforts Yet


Chastain Motorsports’ F2000 Championship Series program had a season-best finish at New Jersey Motorsports in round 11 of the 2015 F2000 season with Sam Chastain scoring a runner-up result at the 2.25-mile road course. The team’s F1600 Formula F Championship Series effort was anchored by Andy Lewis and Will Harvey, who had a sixth place run in the first race of the weekend in the No. 27 Mygale/Honda.

British 750MC Formula Vee racer, Alex Jones, was at Silverstone International for the latest instalment of the championship on 22nd August. F2000: Beasley Over Filgueiras and McCusker at NJMP


From pole, Sam Beasley swept the F2000 Championship Series weekend with his second win in two days at New Jersey Motorsports Park, resetting both existing track records along his way. Beasley picked up all of the available points in rounds 11 and 12 of the season, winning on Sunday afternoon ahead of Eric Filgueiras in second and John McCusker in third to complete a podium with three aspiring American drivers.

Beasley Cruises to F2000 NJMP Win


A flag-to-flag victory from Sam Beasley at New Jersey Motorsports Park continued his dominating season and sealed his F2000 Series Championship title with three races to go with another major points haul in round 11 of the season. Sam Chastain scored his best-yet F2000 finish with a second place drive for Chastain Motorsports, while Steve Bamford completed the podium. Eric Filgueiras finished fourth, storming through the pack after starting last.

Atlantic Title Contenders Lead Friday Practice


As the fight for the 2015 Atlantic Championship Series enters its final four rounds and two weekends, the two drivers vying for the title were each quick during practice. Points leader Keith Grant set the fastest overall time on the day with a lap of 1:11.761, while his main title-rival Conner Kearby showed his pace in the morning session with the best time.

F2000 Practice: Beasley and Chastain Fast


Championship leader Sam Beasley comfortably led double Friday practice at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) ahead of the F2000 Championship Series twin-race weekend. Beasley’s best lap over two 30-minute practice sessions clocked in at 1:17.622. Sam Chastain ran the second fastest time on Friday at NJMP, just over three-tenths of a second behind Beasley.

Pre-season testing at Donington Park concluded with Nico Prost returning Renault e.dams to the top of the times.

The Frenchman set his best lap of 1:30.513s during the morning session. With heavy rain falling towards the end of afternoon running, there was no opportunity for anyone to lower the benchmark.

Tom Jackson and Will Palmer took a win apiece on a dramatic Sunday (23 August) in the Duo BRDC Formula 4 Championship at Snetterton. An enthralling race two of the weekend saw incidents aplenty but it was Maidstone's Jackson that came through the carnage to secure his second-ever BRDC F4 win ahead of Harri Newey and Faisal Al Zubair. Race three saw championship leader Palmer dominate proceedings to come home over 11 seconds clear of nearest rival Jackson, with Newey completing the podium in third.

Lando Norris took victory in another eventful MSA Formula Championship race today, at the Knockhill circuit in Scotland. All three Carlin drivers endured their own drama in a typically action packed outing for the first MSA Formula race of the weekend. Pole man Lando Norris put in a stunning recovery after a spin on lap one to take the fastest lap of the race and the race win. Norris’ victory came despite Colton Herta taking the flag first, although the young American was racing with a five second penalty after exceeding track limits. Petru Florescu recovered to 14th after a spin early on.

Norris Takes Pole Position In Red Flag Disrupted Session


Carlin’s Lando Norris has made his intentions clear for this weekend by taking a strong pole position at Knockhill in this morning’s MSA Formula Championship qualifying session. The British racer was trading positions at the top through however as the chequered flag fell was the driver to beat and in position to claim a further pole position in the 2015 season. Despite two red flags during the 20 minute session all three Carlin drivers held their nerve well with Colton Herta on the pace to set the fourth fastest time and Petru Florescu strongly rounding off the top ten.

Lucas Di Grassi Lowers Donington Lap Record


Lucas di Grassi became the first driver to record a time in the 1:29s on day four of pre-season testing at Donington Park.

The Abt Schaeffler driver used the 200kw qualifying mode to post a lap of 1:29.920s to break the new lap record his team-mate Daniel Abt set yesterday. The Brazilian was well clear of his rivals, who were headed by Renault e.dams’ driver Sebastien Buemi.
