Alessio Lorandi was one of the stars of the day at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, in the second day of collective FIA F.3 European Championship testing. Making his debut in the series as he steps up from kart racing, the 16-year-old Italian was back behind the wheel of a Dallara-Volkswagen for Dutch squad Van Amersfoort. During the morning session, under pouring rain, he ended up with a brilliant 6th place out of 34 drivers.

It was a great weekend for the French team. By winning in the streets of Miami Nicolas Prost became the first driver to cause the French national anthem to ring out on the Formula E podium, and at the same time he took the lead in the championship. And the cherry on the cake is that his victory has helped the e.dams Renault team to open up a big lead (31 points) in the teams’ classification despite the glitches that hit Sébastien Buemi.

Ferrari Academy Driver Antonio Fuoco recorded the best laptime on day one of pre-season testing in Estoril. The Italian’s fastest lap was 1:28.410 around the Portuguese track. ART Grand Prix’s Marvin Kirchhöfer and Arden International’s Emil Bernstorff completed the top three times and were covered by just 0.023s in a closely fought afternoon session. Colombian debutant Oscar Tunjo set the pace in the morning test for Trident.
