2016 NHRA: Tanner Gray To Take Over Family's Pro Stock Car For 2017
The highly successful Gray family will have another member competing in the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series next season when Tanner Gray climbs behind the wheel of Gray Motorsports' Valvoline/Nova Services Pro Stock Chevrolet.
Tanner is the teen-age son of Shane Gray, a multi-time winner in the Pro Stock class, and grandson of Johnny Gray, a winner in Funny Car who also raced Pro Stock for many years.

The Traxxas Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car that has already powered Courtney Force to a national event win and the $100,000 top prize in the Traxxas Shootout this season is once again getting a make-over. This weekend at the 31st annual AAA Texas Fallnationals Force will be joining a number of her competitors with a pink race car to bring awareness to breast cancer treatment and prevention. Force along with her sister Brittany will also be participating in a track walk on Sunday morning with fans as they walk down the famed Texas Motorplex race track.

BROWN TAKES COMMANDING POINTS LEAD WITH TOP FUEL WIN; HAGAN, SKILLMAN, KRAWIEC ALSO SHINE IN DALLAS: Antron Brown furthered his points lead in Top Fuel on Sunday by racing to victory at the AAA Texas FallNationals. Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Drew Skillman (Pro Stock), and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were also winners at the 22nd event of 24 on the 2016 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule. The AAA Texas FallNationals is the fourth race of the six-race Mello Yello Countdown to the . Brown, the No. 1 qualifier, sprinted to a 3.744-second pass at 321.12 mph in his Matco Tools dragster to defeat Steve Torrence’s 3.750 at 323.12 in his Capco Contractors dragster. This is Brown’s 61st career win, seventh of the season, and third at Texas Motorplex. He extended his lead over second-place Doug Kalitta by 150 points with the victory. "We had a great drag race out there," said two-time and reigning world champion Brown. "It could’ve went either way. We were both close on the Tree, but we snuck one out there. Nobody is blowing people out anymore. The only way you win is by inches. To win that final was monumental for our team. We needed to do that. We’re still not done working yet."
