NASCAR Number: 3 (July 12, 2012)
By Reid Spencer, NASCAR Wire Service
3: The number of pairs of winners in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with the same last name. Two of the pairs are brothers: Jeff Burton/Ward Burton and Kurt Busch/Kyle Busch. The drivers who make up the third pair are Jeff Gordon, a three-time winner at Loudon, and Robby Gordon, who picked up the first of his three Cup wins — and his only non-road-course victory — at the Magic Mile. In 2001, Gordon won the New Hampshire 300, a race that was postponed until the end of the season because of the Sept. 11 terror attacks. Originally scheduled for Sept. 16, the race was run on Nov. 23.
