MHP To Sponsor Ragan At New Hampshire After Comments About Supplements
In light of recent comments made about the use of any type of supplement by NASCAR drivers, New Jersey-based Maximum Human Performance (MHP) will now sponsor David Ragan's No. 34 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entry in Sunday's race at New Hampshire. Ragan will showcase the colors of the brand 8-Hour Alert. It's the third time the brand has been on the car this season.

MHP offers a full line of supplements and their X-Fit line of products has been used regularly by Front Row Motorsports No. 34 and 38 pit crews since the beginning of the season. Starting at Dover earlier this season, MHP added 8-Hour Alert to their list of products to sponsor Front Row Motorsports.
"This is great opportunity for us to provide education to the NASCAR fan base, said Gerard Dente, chief executive director of MHP. "We think often what you don't know can scare you. We feel if some people had a better understanding and knowledge of supplementation, and it's benefits to health and performance, they may have a different opinion.
"FRM drivers and crew members have been using MHP supplements with no issues," continued Dente. "NASCAR has a policy in place for the safety and fairness of its athletes. It's the athletes responsibility to follow these guidelines and to align themselves with a reputable supplement brand. FRM has achieved peak performance without risking their health with our products. We're proud to be their partner."
This is MHP's first season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. They are a full-time sponsor of both David Ragan and David Gilliland's pit crew for the full 2012 season. Ragan is proud of his sponsor.
"I think MHP is using NASCAR as a great platform for education about their products and supplements", said Ragan. "There were some comments made and now MHP is responding by stepping up to sponsor our car at New Hampshire. We support them for that."
Sunday's LENOX Tools 301 will be televised live on TNT.
