Building on the success of this year's The HAWK with Brian Redman, officials from Road America announced today that one of the largest vintage racecar gatherings in the United States, featuring over 50 classes of cars racing in several groups will return on July 18-21, 2013. A mid-summer classic including everything from a special concourse on Friday and Saturday along the streets of Elkhart Lake, to a Historic CAN-AM with an impressive field of cars is expected to gather in celebration of CAN-AM's 47th anniversary, making the 2013 event a can't miss spectacle for any racing enthusiast.

"We are very excited to announce that The HAWK with Brian Redman will be returning again because this event has become an annual tradition for hundreds of racers and thousands of fans every year," said George Bruggenthies, president and general manager of Road America. "We are also proud to announce that next year's event will also pay tribute to Chevrolet and its Corvette as the featured marque as Corvette celebrates its 60th anniversary. Road America is poised to usher in the diamond jubilee celebration with a racer's reunion, races for club and pro series-vintage, historic and contemporary racers; a concours with expert and people's choice awards, track touring, parade laps and a vendor marketplace making the 2013 HAWK with Brian Redman an event that everyone of all ages can enjoy."
Having Corvette serve as the featured mark for 2013 is a fitting tribute for Road America as Corvettes have raced at the fabled four-mile 14-turn circuit since 1956, just one year after the track's inaugural 1955 season. Since then, Corvette drivers have taken on the competitive challenges of the challenging road course through professional racing series', SCCA club racing, and various vintage racing series'. Many notable champions have made their mark on the legendary circuit including Tony DeLorenzo, Jim Jeffords, Dick Thompson, Jerry Thompson, John Greenwood, John Heinricy, even Ron Fellows and his Corvette Racing teammates.
More details for The HAWK with Brian Redman including entry information, qualifying procedures, concourse information and tickets are expected in the coming months.
