McCain will open the program – being held in New York for the first time – with a musical selection and will also open the second half of the evening with two additional performances.
Originally from Greenville, S.C., the platinum-selling singer/songwriter has produced popular hits like “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask For More.” The Edwin McCain Band is currently touring in support of his 10th album, “Mercy Bound,” recently released by 429 Records.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to be part of GRAND-AM’s first event in New York City,” McCain said. “I’m a big fan of both road racing and NASCAR, and have tremendous respect for drivers’ skill and the hard work required of them – both on and off the track.”
McCain has performed at a number of past motorsports functions, including the NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Dinner, NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Awards and NASCAR Night of Champions Touring Awards.
