2012 Dover II: Jason Bowles NASCAR Nationwide Race Preview

Jason Bowles returns to Dover this weekend with a brand new look on the MacDonald Motorsports No. 81. A special “camouflage” paint scheme from SupportMilitary.org will be displayed on Jason’s car from the Support Military Foundation for Saturday’s One Main Financial 200.

Jason on Dover…..“Dover is just an awesome track and I’ve been looking forward to getting back there since the race there earlier this season. We had a strong top-15 run there in June so I’m confident we can go back and do it again. The car really looks great to for this week with the camo paint scheme and the Support Military Foundation logos. It’s great to represent such a great group of people that are working to give our military the support they deserve.”

SupportMilitary.org…..The Support Military Foundation created supportmilitary.org as a social networking site for all military supporters. The main goal of this foundation is to link America to verified organizations that provide needed support to Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, Veterans and their families. The site offers a way to connect a grateful nation through armed forces awareness and personal involvement. Supportmilitary.org provides a launch pad for turning awareness into action for individuals, businesses, non-governmental agencies, community and civic groups, local governments and faith-based organizations in support of our uniformed services past and present. Last race of 16 straight weeks…..Dover will mark the final race of the long, 16 straight weeks of racing for the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The Michigan race on June 16th marked the first race in this long summer stretch that comes to a close this Saturday in Dover. Over the first 15 races, Bowles and his MacDonald Motorsports team recorded nine top-20 finishes and an average finishing position of 19.8.

Jason’s thoughts on Kentucky…..“The car was pretty good all day and we had a great shot at another top-15 finish. Everyone on the crew did a great job and the pit-stops were solid all day as well. I really want to thank the Thrush family for everything this weekend. They run a first class organization and their C.H.I.P. software product is an excellent tool for any home improvement company that wants to save time and money. The pit-road penalty was tough because I was already committed to pit-lane and couldn’t do anything. It put us a lap down and behind for the rest of the race. Luckily I have a great team behind me and we kept pushing for the remainder of the race to get a solid 16th, just what we needed right now.”
