2012 Talladega II: NASCAR Sprint Cup Qualifying Results - Kahne, Chevrolet On Pole!
Kasey Kahne and his No. 5 Chevrolet takes NASCAR Sprint Cup Pole at Talladega II.

Kasey Kahne and his No. 5 Hendrickcars.com Chevrolet won the Coors Light Pole Award for the 44th Annual Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 with a lap of 50.017 seconds, 191.455 mph. This is his 25th pole in 318 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races and his third pole and 21st top-10 start in 2012. This is also his first pole in 18 races at Talladega Superspeedway.
Also qualifying on the front row, Ryan Newman and his No. 39 US Army Chevrolet posted his 17th top-10 start of 2012 and his ninth in 22 races at Talladega Superspeedway.
Qualifying third, Clint Bowyer and his No. 15 5-hourEnergyBenefittingAvonFoundationforWomen Toyota posted his fifth top-10 start at Talladega Superspeedway. It is his 13th in 30 races this season.
Tony Stewart and his No. 14 Mobil 1 / Office Depot Chevrolet will start fourth with Greg Biffle and his No. 16 3M / National Breast Cancer Foundation Ford rounding out the top five.
Josh Wise was the fastest qualifying rookie, he'll start 33rd.
Overall, 43 NASCAR Sprint Cup entries attempted to qualify for tomorrow' race.
