Featuring a variety of entertaining activities for the entire family, the 2013 Grand Prix will again be headlined by the IZOD IndyCar Series®, with great drivers such as three-time series champ Dario Franchitti; defending series champion Ryan Hunter-Reay; Long Beach winners Helio Castroneves and Will Power, along with Scott Dixon, Marco Andretti and Graham Rahal expected to return to battle wheel-to-wheel on the famed 1.97-mile, 11-turn circuit through downtown Long Beach.

The 2013 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach will have continuous action from six racing series currently scheduled. On Saturday, April 20, the finest sports cars in North America will take center stage in the Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series along with the fan-favorite Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, in which film, television and sports stars will take on pro drivers in all-new, race-prepared Scion FR-S. On Sunday, four races will be on tap including the Indy cars, Firestone Indy Lights, Team Drifting and the Pirelli World Challenge.

"We have had a very strong renewal response and now all the remaining seats are available to the public for sale," said Jim Michaelian, president and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach. "As the number one street race in America combined with all that the City of Long Beach has to offer, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach continues to be the best family entertainment value in Southern California."

Race weekend’s festival of family entertainment includes free Friday and Saturday night Tecate Light concerts and the Lifestyle Expo with an expanded Family Fun Zone with racing simulators, kids’ racing cars, computer games and action sports. Also in the Expo will be the ever-growing Green Power Prix-View, featuring the latest in environmentally conscious products for the car and home. Add to that multiple driver autograph sessions, a Go-Kart track for adult racers, the popular Food Truck Experience, Sunday’s Mothers Exotic Car Paddock, and it’s a weekend packed full of activity.

Also welcoming fans is a newly redesigned website at www.gplb.com, offering the latest in interactive features, including social media links, RSS feeds from various racing series, video and photo galleries, as well as the latest Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach news, a downloadable ticket brochure and racetrack information, photos and ongoing announcements of special race week activities.
