Austin Hill To Make 2nd NASCAR K&N Pro Series Start For MacDonald Motorsports Saturday At Greenville-Pickens Speedway

Austin Hill will make his second start for MacDonald Motorsports this Saturday night at Greenville-Pickens Speedway. After qualifying 13th and finishing 18th at Columbus Motor Speedway earlier this season, Hill will look to earn his first top-10 finish in the K&N Pro Series Monday driving the A&D Welding/Overnight Wraps No. 49 for MacDonald Motorsports.

“I’m really looking forward the race on Saturday at Greenville-Pickens and proud to be driving the A&D Welding/Overnight Wraps No. 49 for MacDonald Motorsports,” explained Austin. “After practicing there last time before the rains came, I really think we have a shot for a top-5 finish if things go our way.’

Austin Hill, from Winston, Georgia, is a very experienced legends racer with multiple track championships and wins. He is the 2008 Legends Semi-Pro Summer Shootout Champion and the 2009 Legends Pro Champion at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In recent years, Hill has competed in a number of late model races across the South East, including the prestigious World Crown 300 at Gresham Motorsports Park. This summer racing in the Legends Big Money 100 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Austin qualified on the outside of the front row and ran an excellent race, finishing second against one of the toughest fields in legends racing history.

“Austin did an excellent job for us earlier this year at Columbus,” explained team owner, Jeni Macdonald. “Now with a race under his belt, I think he will really impress some people on Saturday. He was really quick in testing there earlier this year.”1

Fans in the Greenville area are encouraged to come out to Greenville-Pickens Speedway on Saturday. The Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140 will take the green flag on Saturday at approximately 8PM ET.
