A vision of Ray Evernham, father of a young man with autism, IGNITE is a program that will provide opportunities for adults with high-functioning autism and Asperger’s syndrome. The IGNITE program and space will serve as a peer-to-peer community center hosting a variety of classes, activities and events that seek to engage and encourage members to reach their potential, personal growth and development, and individual goals. To help promote and initiate funding of the program, Evenham is donating proceeds from the auction of a one-of-a kind "ForPly" custom built 1964 Plymouth Belvedere muscle car at January’s Barrett-Jackson Car Auction. Evernham is a Board member of the Autism Society of North Carolina.
