“Jon Beckman’s global experience after working with Phoenix International Raceway and International Speedway Corporation Corporate Headquarters will pay dividends to The Glen, the team and our fans,” Printup said. “We are excited to have Jon return and know he will be a valuable asset of our team as we move forward in 2013.”

Over the last 10 years, Beckman has worked at Nazareth Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway and International Speedway Corporation in Daytona Beach, Fla. Beckman started at Watkins Glen International in 2002.

“My family and I are excited to return home to Upstate New York and Watkins Glen International!” Beckman said. “To rejoin the team under Michael Printup’s leadership is a tremendous opportunity. Our enthusiasm for WGI started with IMSA and Bud at The Glen in the 1980s. This year’s Finger Lakes 355 at The Glen was the most exciting on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule. The 2014 merger of GRAND-AM Road Racing and American Le Mans Series will make Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen an epic battle. We are thrilled to once again be a part of the Watkins Glen International family.”

Eckert, a six-year veteran of The Glen, will oversee all members of the partnership team at Watkins Glen International. His many years of strategic alliance experience will catapult WGI into the next generation of motorsports partnerships.

“I am very proud of Mike’s accomplishments and look forward to his enthusiasm and energy in this position,” Printup said.
