These individuals perfect their craft behind the scenes, and earlier this week, NASCAR recognized industry leaders in track services, safety and security at the annual NASCAR Track Services Summit held in Concord, N.C.
Several awards were handed out to honorees who displayed excellence in their respective fields during the 2012 NASCAR race season. Among them was Iowa Speedway Director of Operations, Tyler Clement, who was honored with the ‘NASCAR Security Award for Excellence’ by NASCAR’s operational executives.
"I am very proud to accept this award on behalf of everyone on our outstanding security staff at Iowa Speedway," Clement said. "This honor it is shared by the dedicated men and women that I am privileged to work with and around, and I am very fortunate to have such an excellent staff working our events at the track."

In addition to the contingent from Iowa Speedway, NASCAR welcomed representatives from all tracks that host the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and GRAND-AM Road Racing as well as NASCAR Home Tracks that host developmental series events.
