MRN's s 'Winged Nation' Wins National Media Award
Steve Post and Kendra Jacobs, co-hosts of Motor Racing Network’s “Winged Nation,” have been named 2012 Media Members of the Year in the North American 410 Sprint Car Poll.

Winged Nation is a weekly one-hour program which is part of MRN’s lineup of exclusive online content, and will return next month for its third season – streamed live each Tuesday from 12 to 1 p.m. (EST).
“I can speak for Kendra in thanking those who follow the show for all of their support,” Post said, “giving us a chance to talk about the sport we love.”
The North American 410 Sprint Car Poll is an annual awards program of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum located in Knoxville, Iowa. The voting panel is comprised of media members, promoters, sanctioning officials and manufacturers.
Poll results were announced Wednesday and included Donny Schatz being named Driver of the Year.
In addition to its weekly review of sprint car racing, Winged Nation also streamed special programming at www.motorracingnetwork.com in 2012 including three nights of coverage from the Knoxville Nationals in August and a preview of the World of Outlaws World Finals in October.
“Sprint car enthusiasts now have a weekly destination on the worldwide web where they can get news, features and competition updates,” said MRN President and Executive Producer David Hyatt. “We’re proud of ‘Winged Nation’ for being honored in this poll, and we thank the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum for the recognition.”
As the 2013 racing season unfolds, MotorRacingNetwork.com will once again feature a regular lineup of exclusive streaming content covering a number of motor sports series. The schedule begins Saturday, Jan. 26, with live streaming of all 24 hours of the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona GRAND-AM Series event from “The World Center of Racing.” Motor Racing Network’s exclusive radio coverage of the twice-around-the-clock sports car classic will begin at 3 p.m. (ET).
