Dodge/RCH Racing - AMA Monster Energy Supercross Series Race Quotes - Phoenix
BROC TICKLE (No. 20 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/RCH Racing/Bel-Ray/Suzuki RM-Z450) Finished 12th
TALK ABOUT YOUR NIGHT: “I thought it was solid night. It was a little bit frustrating in the Main because I had a really good week of practice. We worked on a bunch of things and thought that I got them down for tonight’s race. Overall, my race was pretty solid. I just need to be more aggressive out there and not get squeezed on the start. The start tonight wasn’t that good but I don’t think it was my fault. Guys just slammed into (Turn) 1 and things got really hairy, really fast. The goal this week is to keep working on our starts and work on my aggression.”

YOU LOOKED LIKE YOU GOT SQUEEZED PRETTY HARD INTO TURN 1 IN THE MAIN RACE. “Yeah, it was gnarly. I thought that I got a pretty good jump and about halfway down the straightaway everyone on the inside was beating to the corner. I looked and (Ryan) Dungey was to my outside and I tried to stay as close to the inside as I could to stay on the track. Then I got bumped by someone and then got ran off the track. It was a bummer, but better than last week and that’s a positive. We’ve got some things to work on.”
YOU HAD A NICE RECOVERY MIDRACE AND PASSED A LOT OF BIKES TO FINISH 12TH. “I felt that halfway through the race I was staying right with Dungey and he got around some guys faster than me. I just need to move those guys out of the way and be more aggressive to pick up some spots. I think that if I could have done that tonight I probably could have finished right behind Dungey.”
WHERE DID YOUR SUZUKI WORK WELL TONIGHT? “The track was really slippery and I felt that the changes that we made on our Suzuki last week were positive gains tonight. There are things that I want to try suspension-wise this week that I think will continue to improve our performance. We still have work to do. We have a full week of practice in front of us and I’m confident that we’ll continue to make positive strides before next Saturday. I’ve been working hard and the whole team has put in the effort. It’s a bit frustrating not getting the results yet, but we’re getting close.”
YOU’RE MAKING POSITIVE STRIDES AND HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. “For sure. Our Dodge/Sycuan Casino/RCH Racing/Bel-Ray/Suzuki RM-Z450 is fast. I feel like I should be from fifth-to-10th in points and that’s where I need to be. We’re getting closer.”
