Motorsport - It's A Dog's Life For The Denny Hulme Festival Crowds!
For the first time in its four year history, the New Zealand Festival of Motor Racing will not just be celebrating old racing cars, but will also be getting behind a great New Zealand Charity.

This year's Gulf-supported event, which celebrates the life and career of Denny Hulme and takes place over two weekends this month (18-20 and 25-27) at the Hampton Downs race track, will partner Assistance Dogs NZ, and it is expected to be a bumper opportunity for the young charity, with ticket sales for the event well ahead of recent years.
The Assistance Dogs New Zealand Trust was set up to enrich the lives of people with disabilities by providing them with reliable service dogs, trained to promote independent living, mobility and companionship. Dogs are trained according to the requirements of the user and children in particular have benefitted enormously from the work of the trust in recent years. It takes up to two years to breed, train and place a dog, and the goal is to get another ten placed in the next year requiring fundraising of $300,000 to keep the paws moving along!
The Trust will be on site in the main trade stand area with a marquee and one or two very special guests as it uses the opportunity of the Denny Hulme event to raise its own profile and to try and attract new supporters for its work.
