Montecalvo is co-driving the No. 16 Multimatic Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage with Nick Mancuso for the 12 race schedule. The duo will compete in the season opener next week at the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GRAND-AM 200 at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, January 25.

Multimatic Motorsports and Montecalvo have solid racing history together. Montecalvo first started racing for the Canadian company in 2010 aboard the Mustang BOSS 302 with co-driver Gunnar Jeannette. Then in 2012, Montecalvo transitioned into Multimatic Motorsports’ Ford Focus ST for a partial season, in addition to competing for Bayshore Racing overseas in FIA-WEC.

The 2013 season marks the second year Multimatic Motorsports has campaigned the Aston Martin Vantages. Montecalvo took part in the Roar Before the Rolex 24 test at Daytona International Raceway earlier this month where he made his first laps in the race car. All three Multimatic Aston Martins completed the test in the top-10.

Under the leadership of Larry Holt, Multimatic team principal and Vice President of Engineering, Montecalvo and co-driver Nick Mancuso, have an impressive list of Multimatic teammates including Scott Maxwell, Jade Buford, Tonis Kasements, Michael Marsal, John Farano and David Empringham – all four sets of drivers are campaigning Aston Martin Vantages for Multimatic Motorsports.

Montecalvo and Mancuso return to Daytona International Raceway on Wednesday, January 23, for practice. On-track action continues on Thursday with additional practice sessions and qualifying. Green flag for the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GRAND-AM 200 (2.5 hour race) is on Friday, January 25 at 1:45pm.
