TRG - Aston Martin Racing Form Strategic Technical Alliance With Speed Sport Tuning

Only weeks after announcing an exclusive, long-term partnership with Aston Martin Racing, The Racer's Group (TRG) has finalized its first technical alliance with Spencer Cox and Speed Sport Tuning of Danbury, Connecticut. This partnership will allow Speed Sport Tuning to become the first East Coast hub for support of the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 track day car as well as the upcoming one-make series race program.

The one-make series will be similar to the Vantage GT4 Challenge in the U.K., allowing drivers a truly all-inclusive "Arrive and Drive" racing series across North America. The Vantage GT4 is one of the best, purpose built track day cars available and is touted for its ease of operation, low maintenance and service intervals, low cost of repairs and a final price of under $200,000. On top of all that... it is just one of the coolest cars in the world.

Speed Sport Tuning will provide its world-class facilities and logistical capabilities to help act as a support and service center for TRG-AMR North America and many of the Vantage GT4's that will be running on the East Coast, as well as serving as a hub for new car deliveries, maintenance, and support of the new Vantage GT4 Challenge Series.

Kevin Buckler on new alliance with Speed Sport Tuning and Owner Spencer Cox:
"We are pleased to announce our first East Coast partnership between TRG-AMR North America and Speed Sport Tuning in Danbury, Connecticut. Spencer Cox and I have been friends for nearly 20 years and have watched each other's businesses grow on opposite coasts. Spencer is one of the best at organizing and operating high-end, client-based driver programs and is going to be a perfect partner for us with our new Aston Martin racing program. We anticipate Spencer and several of his clients to be purchasing a few of our brand-new Aston Martin GT4 Vantages and getting them out on the local tracks and track day events and also in anticipation for the new Aston Martin one-make series that will be coming in 2014. Speed Sport will also be available to support several of the local dealers in any of their racing efforts. We welcome Spencer and Speed Sport to the Aston Martin Racing family here in North America."

Cox on forming this alliance with TRG - Aston Martin Racing:
"Partnering with TRG-AMR North America provides us with a world-class opportunity to grow both TRG-AMR North America and Speed Sport Tuning. Kevin and I have been friends for years, and both of us know when we find a good thing. In this case, the partnership between TRG-AMR North America and Speed Sport Tuning is a great thing. Going full-throttle on an ambitious project like this with Aston Martin only happens once in a lifetime. I am thrilled to be a part of this and help bring TRG-AMR North America all the support it needs through Speed Sport Tuning. I look forward to the future and seeing where this awesome partnership takes all of us. Most importantly, where it takes American motorsport, as that is what's most important to those of us, passionate about motorsport."

Kevin Buckler on the new Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4:
"I just got done shaking down our very first Vantage GT4 at Laguna Seca last week, and this new AMR Vantage GT4 is amazing. You start with an incredibly potent and race-bred platform with the Vantage from the get-go, then add gobs of torque from the 4.7 liter V8 engine, all coupled with a 6-speed paddle-shifted gearbox and full traction control and ABS. It is by far the friendliest track day car I've ever driven and also the very coolest. All of the challenges in operating other track day cars are completely eliminated here. This car rocks. It makes for an incredibly powerful yet stable racing platform that is relatively easy and incredibly fun to drive... all for significantly less investment than other European GT racers at the same level of performance. We've got an amazing opportunity to really embrace Aston Martin as the new formidable GT player on the block, and more and more people are asking me every day how to get involved. I couldn't be happier with this new chapter in TRG's history."
