Toyo Tires And Robby Gordon Capture Stage 13 Win During The 2013 Dakar
Robby Gordon, driver of the #315 SPEED Energy / Toyo Tires / MAPEI HUMMER, won Stage 13 of the 2013 Dakar® rally today in Chile. It is Gordon’s second win in two days and eighth podium finish for the race. Together, Toyo® Open Country M/T®-R -equipped vehicles have now captured a total of six stage wins and 13 podiums in this historic race.

Today’s 380km Special was on the route from Copiapó south to the Pacific Coast town of La Serena in the country of Chile. It provided a variety of terrain from dirt roads to rocks and massive sand dunes.
Tomorrow’s Stage 14 is the last day of competition in the Dakar, travelling from La Serena to Santiago, the capital of Chile. It is split into a 111km “Special”, and then the world’s toughest race culminates with a “Super Special” which is only 15km in length. Gordon is determined to add a Stage 14 win to his accomplishments for the 2013 race before returning to the U.S.
