2013 Daytona 24: Grand Am LIVE Update - GX Polesitter Tandy In Trouble

The 51st Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona continues on lap eight at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. Leading the field to the green flag was the Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates BMW Riley with Scott Pruett handling the first stint driving chores.
The race started at 3:30 PM Eastern standard time, and will continue until Sunday at 3:30 PM EST. We are currently on lap eight of a 3.560-mile road course circuit.
The No. 32 Konrad Motorsport/ Orbit - Porsche GT3 Cup driven by Nick Tandy has a huge problem with a flat tire destroying the right rear fender, while the right side of the car showing heavy contact with something. The car was driven to pit lane where the mechanics have gone to work to try to get the car back on track.
TV coverage failed to catch the incident.
The faster leaders in the DP class have begun lapping the slower entries in the GT and GX classes.
It looks like we are going to have a rain free race with clear skies and mid-70s for the weather.
