2013 Daytona 24: Grand Am LIVE Update - Troubles Continue

The 51st Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona continues at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. Leading the field to the green flag was the Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates BMW Riley with Scott Pruett handling the first stint driving chores.
The race started at 3:30 PM Eastern standard time, and will continue until Sunday at 3:30 PM EST. We are currently on lap 22 of a 3.560-mile road course circuit. 55 cars start the event.
We've now had six different cars have all sorts of issues during the opening 40 minutes. The No 72 and 73 entries have had wheel nut issues, the number 50 Highway to Help BMW/Riley is behind the wall with apparent engine issues. AJ Allmendinger has had contact in the bus stop chicane in his No 60 Michael Shank Racing DP and is suffering with a flat tire. The 00 Mazda 6 running in the GX class has stopped on course with no power, though we continue under green.
It looks like we are going to have a rain free race with clear skies and mid-70s for the weather.
