2013 Daytona Rolex 24: Grand Am LIVE Update - Race Results After Hour 18

The 2013 Grand-Am opener - the 51st Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida is back racing after fog slowed the morning drive. The sun is out and the current leader is sports car star Scott Pruett and his No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates - BMW Riley. Pruett took over the driving chores during a pitstop under the fog.
The BMW powered entry has come under scrutiny as it has clearly had the advantage over the Corvette power plants. The Ganassi team has led 268 laps thus far.
Running second is Joao Barbosa and his No. 9 Action Express Racing - Corvette DP followed by Jordan Taylor and his No. 10 VelocityWW - Corvette DP.
The race started at on Saturday at 3:30 PM Eastern standard time, and will continue until Sunday at 3:30 PM EST. We are currently on lap 524 of a 3.560-mile road course circuit. We've had 12 cautions for 98 laps. 55 cars started the event. The DP class has had 11 different leaders with five DP cars still on the lead lap with six hours to go.
The skies are clear and sunny with temperatures in the mid-60s.
