"What an honor to know that a WellCity product will impact the lives of veterans and their families," says WellCity Foundation Executive Director Larry Carter. "These men and women have risked their lives to protect the freedoms the rest of us enjoy. I hope the WellCity Challenge will help them live healthier, happier, longer lives. They deserve it."
"As soon as we heard about WellCity Foundation and the WellCity Challenge, we knew this was an opportunity to give the gift of good health to the military personnel we serve," says Support Military Foundation co-founder Chaplain, Colonel Steven E. West. "What greater gift is there to say thank you to our U.S. Servicemen and women."
The WellCity Challenge is a 90 day, team-based competition that helps people conquer unhealthy habits while teaching them new, healthy ones. Participants become members of this social network through Support Military Foundation’s website, where they engage, encourage and inspire each other. The WellCity Challenge teaches participants how to reduce workplace stress, make healthier food choices, and how to implement a simple exercise routine, among other things. They also have access to WellCity’s highly-credentialed Wellness Team of experts.
Support Military Foundation - a Chattanooga, Tennessee-based charity will purchase the challenges through WellCity Foundation, from WellCity and will officially begin offering them to military personnel and their families in March. Support Military Foundation has promoted their foundation through NASCAR sponsorship.
"This is an opportunity to potentially reach tens of thousands of military personnel and their families with our message of wellness," explains Robert Bellamy, CEO of WellCity, Inc. "I believe other members of our social network will appreciate getting to say ‘thank you’ to all these public servants".
