After his debut season in 2012, another year racing in the competitive series was the ideal option for Freddy and with experienced racing driver Eric Hélary at the helm of the STILL Racing team it is set to be an exciting year ahead.
STILL Racing as a team have the experience and knowledge needed to run in the Euro Racecar NASCAR Touring Series, and with the combined expertise of Team Principal Hélary they are a force to be reckoned with.
Hélary’s career has encompassed endurance sportscar racing, single seaters and touring cars, including an extremely prestigious victory at the Le Mans 24 Hour race in 1993 and the Euro Racecar NASCAR title in 2011. A single goal of victory surrounds Hélary’s racing career, which he aims to carry towards his Euro Racecar NASCAR Touring team.
The series again comprises seven exciting circuits, with round one taking place at the Nogaro circuit in Spain over the 31st March and 1st April. Other venues include circuits in France, Spain, Italy and the UK. Sunday 9th June will see Brands Hatch in Kent turned into an American extravaganza, as the American Speedfest takes over in true NASCAR style.
Commenting on his 2013 plans, Freddy said: “I’m very pleased to announce a return to the Euro Racecar NASCAR Touring Series, and I’m thrilled to join the STILL Racing team. Starting the season with a year under my belt is important, as I have the knowledge of the cars and some of the circuits. With the added bonus of Eric’s experience I hope to develop my driving skills throughout the year.”
Freddy will take part in a pre-season test at Nogaro on the 18th March.
