Ecclestone, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak Visit Russian Grand Prix Circuit In Sochi

Today Formula 1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak visited the Formula 1 circuit construction site in the Olympic Park.

Officials together with Administration of the Krasnodar Region and «Formula Sochi» team evaluated the progress of the construction works of the circuit.

Dmitriy Kozak said Sochi is on schedule to complete the Circuit for the first Russian Grand Prix in time: «All construction works are carried out according to the schedule. The work is difficult. The track is located on the Olympic Park; it is necessary to coordinate activities of many building organizations and facilities. But we’ve solved all those problems and entered the final straight», he pointed out.

Bernie Ecclestone commented on considerable success of the Russian team while preparing the circuit and its facilities: «I was here before the building work started on the track and I was already impressed then. Now I’m super-impressed with what’s going on here».

Official delegation drove through the basic layer of asphalt, and then inspected pit building, pit lane and other circuit facilities.
