The Motorcycle-Superstore.com Holeshot Award is worth $100 to the first rider to reach the designated spot in the first corner of each race. Officials with MX Sports will be on hand to officially recognize each winner with a check presentation on the podium.

"The Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross in Daytona is an event every amateur motocross racer should attend," said Tim Clark, Director of Sports Marketing for Motorcycle-Superstore.com. "This is a great opportunity to race on the legendary Daytona Supercross track. Ricky and the MX Sports staff put on a first-class event and we're proud to be part of this prestigious event."

The Amateur Supercross event, to be held March 10-11, is based on the format used at the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch, which also is conducted by MX Sports. Riders of all levels of proficiency are invited to compete and, unlike the Loretta Lynns, there is no need to qualify at feeder events. The race will follow a traditional Supercross format, using heat races and last chance qualifiers to seed the field of riders for each main event.
