Superstars World: Pasquale Di Sabatino Set For Superstars Testing Debut
With just two days to go for the first collective test of the 2013 SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES, Chevrolet Solaris Motorsport announced a new addition to their roster at Adria. On the next 8th of February, the northern-Italian circuit will host a round of testing as well as the SUPERSTARS SPORTING AWARDS, the series' prize ceremony for the 2012 season.

The team, owned by the Sini family, will welcome an highly-experienced international racer, Pasquale di Sabatino, who will sit behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Lumina CR8. The Abruzzo-based man, born in 1988, has enjoyed considerable success so far despite his young age with open-wheel stints in the World Series by Renault and in the Auto GP championship. Last season, he moved to touring cars driving a Chevrolet Cruze in the WTCC. He will be driving a SUPERSTARS car for the first time and stopped by to answer a few questions…
What do you expect from your maiden SUPERSTARS experience?
«I expect an hollywood-style environment like I seen on the TV! Filled grandstands, paddock full of people too, all this kind of stuff. It seems an exciting place to be and a very professional one too. I'm really happy to have this chances to try the Lumina. This test shows a true interest towards SUPERSTARS which is one of my top options for 2013».
You were coming from a stint in open-wheel racing, did you have to adjust your style in touring cars?
«I had to change my driving style completely. Last year, at my first season in touring cars, I lined-up on a front-wheel-drive car and finally I'll be back to RWD Friday. My open-wheel experience will provide a good boost and I'm sure I'll be having lots of fun».
What's your opinion of the SUPERSTARS WORLD?
«I had the chance to follow the races on TV and my friendship with Francesco Sini gave me the chance to be up-to-date with all the news. The series is one of the best of the international panorama and the driver roster is stellar. Media coverage is top-notch too and that provides great visibility for the drivers and their sponsors».
