Ross qualified 2nd for the Pro Open Final on Friday and had a good start off the line when in short order got tangled up another racer. His competitors skis speared Ross, one in the leg and the other ski was jammed in Ross's suspension. The sleds were so jammed up it took 3 full laps to get them pulled apart and by that time he was out of contention. A tough break for Martin but the good news is his leg is sore and bruised up but he is ok!

Saturday Ross started with a fresh sled but the streak of bad luck continued. In the 1st qualifying heat Martin had an unusual rear axle break. Then in Round 2 he took the holeshot, lead the whole race until he had a freak clutch issue. Between each of the heats Ross's sled was towed back to the trailer where the crew worked feverishly to get him back on the track to make the final through the LCQ. Qualifying 14th Ross was in the back row for the Final.

Martin was all business when he got the the line. He was clearly on a mission! Ross shot off the line coming out of the first corner in 8th, and by the 2nd lap was flying by traffic. It was exciting to watch! Ross fought his way back to a 3rd place finish making it on the podium.

Ross said through a huge smile, "I'm excited to be up here. We had some bad luck this weekend but because of the tremendous efforts from our crew, we're on the box."

"I could not be prouder of this team as I was this weekend. We had a lot of tough breaks but everybody stayed positive and pulled together to make it happen. Ross stayed calm and rode his race. After all the setbacks we experienced this weekend we were going crazy as Ross flew past his competitors and fought his way back to the box. It was a win to us!" said Scott Judnick, Team Owner.
