By PaddockTalk.com Staff Writers
In front of 50,000, Kevin Harvick and his No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet won the 2013 Sprint Unlimited (formerly Bud Shootout) at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. For Harvick, this is third victory in nine starts in the annual non-points preseason race. Harvick has now won three of the last five The Sprint Unlimited events. He also won in 2009-10. Harvick joins Tony Stewart and Dale Jarrett as three-time winners of the event. Dale Earnhardt is the alltime leader in wins in the preseason event with six. Harvick led a race-high 40 laps in the victory, the sixth time he has led The Sprint Unlimited.
Grabbing a career best second was Greg Biffle and his No. 16 3M Ford who finished a mere .146 behind. It was his fourth top-10 finish in eight starts in the event.
In third was Joey Logano and his No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford.
Tony Stewart and his No. 14 Mobil 1 / Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet would finish fourth followed by Matt Kenseth and his No. 20 Dollar General Toyota.
