Danica Patrick Becomes First Woman To Win NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Pole
History was set today for this year’s Daytona 500 as rookie Danica Patrick becomes the first woman to win a pole for any NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Patrick, and four-time champion and two-time Kansas Speedway winner Jeff Gordon will start on the front row for the Daytona 500 on Feb. 24.

Patrick, who competed in both the Kansas Lottery 300 and Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway in 2012, won her first career pole in 2005 at Kansas Speedway as a rookie in the IndyCar Series.
Race fans can see Patrick, Gordon and the rest of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars at Kansas Speedway on April 21 in the STP 400.
Kansas Speedway season tickets, which are currently on sale, include both NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races (April 21 and Oct. 6), the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race (April 20), and the NASCAR Nationwide Series race (Oct. 5), along with a TrackPass, which allows you up close access to the Kansas National Guard pre-race activities, like NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver introductions, the pre-race concert, and much more!

Kansas Speedway’s 2013 season includes two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards (Oct. 4) and new in 2013, GRAND-AM Road Racing (Aug. 16-17).
Parking is always free at Kansas Speedway and fans can bring in one 14x14x14-inch soft-sided cooler with their favorite food and beverages.
