The annual awards ceremony – widely known as the motor racing season’s curtain raiser – takes place on Monday 25 February at the Royal Opera House, in London, and will be hosted by Sky Sports F1® HD presenters Simon Lazenby and Natalie Pinkham.
Other members of the Sky Sports F1® team will also be present on the night, including Martin Brundle, Damon Hill OBE, Johnny Herbert, Ted Kravitz and David Croft.
Martin Turner, Executive Producer, Sky Sports F1® HD, said, “We are delighted to be able to give our viewers exclusive access to the Motor Sport magazine Hall of Fame, via our confirmed status as the event’s first ever UK broadcast partner. Formula One has a rich heritage and, before we enter yet another new and exciting season, it seems fitting that we pay tribute to some of the greatest names that have pioneered the fastest sport on the planet – which enthrals millions of fans on a global scale.”
The first exclusive coverage of the Motor Sport magazine awards will be shown on Sky Sports F1® HD on Friday 01 March at 16:30hrs, as part of the hour-long F1® Show which will also cover the final pre-season test. In addition, this much awaited programme is scheduled for repeats during the subsequent week.
At Motor Sport’s fourth annual Hall of Fame, a unique charity auction on behalf of the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust will also be held as part of the evening.
