2013 Daytona 500: NASCAR Sprint Cup Practice Five Results - Almirola, Ford Fastest!

The NASCAR Sprint Cup series has completed practice session _ at Daytona International Speedway in preparation for the 55th Annual Daytona 500.

Leading the way was Aric Almirola and his No. 43 Smithfield Ford with a lap of 45.699 seconds/ 196.941 mph.

Second quick was Jeff Burton and his No. 31 Caterpillar Chevrolet with a lap of 45.841 seconds/ 196.331 mph.

Third on the timesheets was Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet with a lap of 45.899 seconds/ 196.083 mph.

Bobby Labonte and his No. 47 Kroger Toyota was fourth fastest with Michael McDowell and his No. 98 K-Love/Curb Records Ford rounding out the top five.

Overall, 14 NASCAR Sprint Cup entries turned hot laps during the session.
