2013 Daytona 500: LIVE NASCAR Sprint Cup Weather Update - Rain Out For Sunday ?

While the NASCAR Nationwide series is enjoying a beautiful 80 degree day at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, the 2013 Daytona 500 appears it will start late at a minimum tomorrow. The NASCAR Sprint Cup season opener is scheduled to fire up at 1PM tomorrow afternoon, but rain in threatening.
The current forecast from multiple sources is showing a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms at the 1PM start time, elevating to 60% chance an hour later and continuing with a 50 percent chance of storms throughout the afternoon.
Heading into the 6PM hour, the chance of rain drops to 30 percent for the rest of the evening.
Monday is generally a 30 percent chance of rain.
Much like last year, the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup opener - the Daytona 500 - could be rained out for Sunday.
