2013 Daytona: NASCAR Nationwide Race Results - Stewart, Chevrolet Win!

By PaddockTalk.com Staff Writers

In front of 57,000, Tony Stewart and his No. 33 Oreo/Ritz Chevrolet has won the 32nd Annual DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. For Stewart, it is his 7th win in the last nine January events at Daytona, and 11th overall NASCAR Nationwide victory.

The finish had a horrific finish as a car got up into the safety fence coming to the finish line leaving an engine, a tyre and other miscellaneous parts on the grandstand side of the track. The fencing clearly was pierced, and will have to be repaired for the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season opener - the Daytona 500.

Grabbing second in the melee was Sam Hornish Jr and his No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Ford with Alex Bowman and his No. 99 Florida Lottery Toyota finishing third.

Finishing fourth was Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his No. 88 TaxSlayer.com Chevrolet with Parker Kligerman and his No. 77 Bandit Chippers Toyota rounding out the top five.

At this time, we continue to be hopeful that no fans have been seriously injured, but medical personnel are on-site, and treating spectators.
