2013 Daytona 500: LIVE NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Update - Jeff Gordon Leads First Lap!

The 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Daytona 500 season opener is underway! The front row of polesitter Danica Patrick and his No. 10 godaddy entry, and Jeff Gordon and his No. 24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet leading the field to green flag.
Quickly, Jeff Gordon took the lead and slid up in front of Danica Patrick to lead the first lap.
Practice is over, qualifying is over. The drivers have had over 30 hours on track over the last two weeks. The race is on, and its go time.
Keep an eye on the top groove, it appears to be the quicker line around the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway.
Also keep an eye on the weather. Though, it appears the thunderstorms are going to continue to stay to the south of the Speedway until at least 4PM.
