2013 Daytona 500: NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Results - Johnson, Chevrolet Win!

In front of 170,000, Jimmie Johnson and his No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet has won the NASCAR Sprint Cup 2013 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. For Johnson, it is his second Daytona 500 victory, and his 61st triumph in NASCAR Sprint Cup competition. It is also his 400th NASCAR Sprint Cup career start. It is Johnson's 12th consecutive season with a victory.

Grabbing second, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet, his third second place finish at the Daytona 500 in the last four tries.

In third, Mark Martin and his No. 55 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota followed by Brad Keselowski and his No. 2 Miller Lite Ford. Rounding out the top-five was Ryan Newman and his No. 39 Quicken Loans Chevrolet.

Danica Patrick made history today by becoming the first woman to lead a green flag lap in NASCAR Sprint Cup competition, and the highest finish by a woman - 8th.
