The Pukekohe 500, the biggest event on the V8 SuperTourer calendar, will now take place over the weekend of November 29 – December 1. Several drivers running in BNT V8 SuperTourers are also running in both the V8 Supercar series and the V8 Development Series in Australia and BNT V8ST management moved quickly when the clash with the Sydney 500 became apparent to find and confirm an alternative date.

“Dates occasionally have to be changed due to factors outside of our control,” explained CEO Ray Noonan.

“What is imperative is to confirm a replacement as quickly as possible for the drivers, teams and sponsors, as well as the fans. Everyone has planning to do and the date of the meeting is the starting point for all of that. Hopefully by bringing the event one week forward we have avoided any potential disruption and our teams and drivers can focus 100% on the event before switching their attention to Australia the following weekend. We really appreciate the indulgence of the clubs who helped facilitate the move of dates. Our goal is to grow the motorsport audience and by moving dates to give Supercars a clear run at their date should help grow the overall market.”
