Team Ghinzani Test New Auto GP Car In Magione

New teams are ready to make their way to Auto GP. Team Ghinzani, a major player in the national and international Formula 3 championships with a strong heritage in Formula 3000 racing, will be testing the new Auto GP racecar at Magione. The Bergamo-based team, managed by former F.1 driver Piercarlo Ghinzani, turned their first laps in the series in last December's test and is ready to get back running with a young driver from their developmental project, Robert Visoiu. The 17-year-old Romanian racer entered the 2012 Formula 3 championship with Ghinzani, scoring one win and two third-place finishes. He is now ready to attack a much more powerful and demanding car like the Auto GP one.

Enzo Coloni: "Since the Barcelona test, I was enthused to have Team Ghinzani in the Auto GP family and see them back with us at Magione is a great satisfaction for me. It means that our series has been well received and appreciated".

Piercarlo Ghinzani: "I'm very happy to have Robert with us after some months and to see him behind the wheel of an AutoGP car. From my point of view, the car fits his driving style well and is going to be a good base to develop his skills".
