2013 Las Vegas: Paul Menard NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Preview
This Week's Schrock/Menards Chevrolet ... Paul Menard will pilot chassis No. 403 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend. This No. 27 Chevrolet SS is a new addition to the Richard Childress Racing stable in 2013.

Las Vegas by the Numbers ... Menard has six starts at the 1.5-mile speedway. His best start of 18th came in 2011, and his best finish of seventh came in last year's event. The Wisconsin native has completed 1,599 of 1,620 laps attempted (98.7 percent) at the Las Vegas track, leading three of them.

Race Rewind ... In his last appearance at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Menard started the No. 27 Chevrolet from the 27th position and brought home a top-10 finish of seventh, his best effort to-date at the track.

Menard's Thoughts on Racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
"Going to Las Vegas (Motor Speedway) will give us the first true indication of how the new Gen-6 car is going to react. At all the tests we have done with the new car we've seen high speeds. It's definitely been faster than the old car in race conditions. I think there's a good possibility we might see a new track record in Vegas. We're going to the track a day early to test on Thursday, so I really think we are going to learn a lot about how the Schrock/Menards Chevrolet is going to handle. What we gain from the extra day of testing will be crucial to our strategy for the rest of the weekend."
