SCOTT Rookie Challenge Rolls Into Mobile

Which rookie ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards driver will leave Mobile, Ala. as the SCOTT® Rookie Challenge winner?

With nearly half of the field for Saturday's ARCA Mobile 200 at Mobile International Speedway expected to be rookies, it could be quite a battle - and at the front of the field, too.

"So many ARCA Racing Series rookies have turned success in the ARCA series into success into other racing series," said Mark Gundrum, vice-president of business development and corporate partnerships for ARCA. "Kyle Larson is a perfect example of this. We are proud to have the SCOTT® brand aligned with those drivers and the next group of young stars as they rise in their careers."

Larson was the highest finishing rookie in the ARCA Racing Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway last month. He's already driven in a couple of NASCAR Nationwide Series events since.

First-year ARCA competitors are in competition for cash bonus awards and a year-end SCOTT® Rookie Challenge bonus of $10,000.

Round two of the ARCA Racing Series and the SCOTT® Rookie Challenge will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time. Fans can set their Web browser to arcaracing.com for live timing and scoring and listen to a broadcast of the race.

Larson, who is not entered in Saturday's race, leads the ARCA rookie point standings. Other challengers who have registered for the rookie award this weekend include Justin Boston, Mason Mitchell, Bo Lemastus and Mason Mingus.

Kimberly-Clark and it's SCOTT® brand products are new to the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards racing program. In addition to the SCOTT® Rookie Challenge, SCOTT® has become an ARCA Racing Series official sponsor and will be announced later this season as the title sponsor of an ARCA Racing Series event in 2013.

The Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) is among the leading auto racing sanctioning bodies in the country. Founded in 1953 by John and Mildred Marcum, the organization administers more than 100 events each year in multiple racing series, including the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, the ARCA/CRA Super Series, the ARCA Truck Series and the ARCA Midwest Tour, plus weekly racing at Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways.
