Ray Courtemanche Jr In 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series With La Cite De Mirabel Inc And Dave Jacombs Racing
The 2012 NCaTS season was a character and experience builder for Ray Jr. and his team, Bonzaï Racing. One of the hard-earned lessons was that you need the best equipment and support possible in order to make your mark in a competitive series like the NCaTS. For 2013, Bonzaï Racing has decided to go with the best, and maximize the development and race results for team driver Ray Courtemanche Jr.

Bonzaï Racing is proud to announce that La Cité de Mirabel inc. (citemirabel.com), a 2000+ residential units development has decided to come on board and support Ray Jr’s racing program. Daniel Proulx, one of the project’s founding partners, believes that this partnership is a great fit. ”The impact of the exposure gained from the foremost Canadian racing series will cover the country over the 12 events, held from Halifax to Vancouver. This exposure is in line with our Canadian plans as well as upcoming ones in the United States.”
Proulx added that “Our research has confirmed that the NCaTS and the affordable housing planned for La Cité de Mirabel targets the same demographics, so that our combined marketing actions will reach the exact audience we are shooting for. And it gets better, as we are also looking to add partners to the project and inviting key ones to the track, which allows us to get to know the people better and build trust and communication with existing and prospective partners.”
On the racing side per se, one of the keys to success is to show up at the track with the best prepared car. Bonzaï Racing has decided to do just that by contracting for race preparation and trackside support with one of the best Stock Car specialist in Canada, Dave Jacombs Racing. Dave and his team are a known quantity, with over 30 years of experience and two NCaTS titles (2007, 2009) with Andrew Ranger at the wheel. Dave and his team will put Ray Jr. in the best possible car for all 12 races.
Dave Jacombs is looking forward to the start of the season. “I have been watching Ray Jr. for the last two seasons, and I know that we will put him in a far more efficient car that what he had in the past, a quicker car that will also be easier to drive fast. I expect that he will become a regular Top 10 runner midway through the season. Just like Ray Jr., I am looking forward to a fun, successful 2013 season.”
Ray Jr. can’t wait to get to the track. “We learned a lot last season, and I now understand how important experience can be to a racer and to the team. Cars prepared by Dave and his team have won everywhere in NCaTS, so it is up to me to find my way up to the leaders at every track. I am very grateful to La Cité de Mirabel for this opportunity to drive a potential race-winner.”
