Facu Regalia finished his first test day at Circuit de Catalunya yesterday, the track hosting the second collective test for GP3. The Argentine driver managed by former Formula 1 driver Adrián Campos completed forty-one laps in Barcelona. 10th in the morning session with a lap of 1:35.845, the new ART Grand Prix driver emerged as one of the fastest ones in the afternoon. First for a while, finally he finished 6th setting a time of 1:34.943, three tenths slower than the driver in P1.
“It was a good day, because we have had a good pace, just like at Estoril. In the morning we couldn´t complete as many laps as wanted but then, in the afternoon, we were able to test different set-up solutions. With our first set of tires I posted P1 time”, Regalia explained, adding that “then with the second set we made a few changes to solve a minor oversteer problem. We improved our previous time, but not enough to keep P1. Anyway I feel happy with results here. We´re working very well because, always in good positions in the rankings. Tomorrow we´ll keep working in the same way, and aiming for finishing in front”.
Instead of three test days like Estoril, Barcelona has scheduled just two finishing today.
